i would just stick it on the floor infront of the pass seat.

and for the guy who said rice....i noticed your sig says 2 small oil leaks. when those catch fire and you dont have anything to put it out cause its "rice" have fun with a melted trans am
I have mine between the two back seats.

I know it can cause more fire etc but since that movie came out some people think just because it has nitrous in it that its just like a rolling time bomb that the least little thing makes explode. whean I had it in my car a couple years ago I got that all the time "are you not scared your car will expode"

Don't believe much that you see in movies. Cars always explode in movies, very rarely in real life (I've never seen one explode, or even burn after an accident). Most car fires are caused by mechanical defects, electrical shorts or arson. There was a car explosion just recently in NH, a plumber had a leaking acytelyne (sp) cylinder in his trunk, and when he clicked his trunk release it sparked and blew the car apart. Nitrous will not do that.
Movies drive firefighters crazy, if every car that crashed blew up like in the movies cars would have been outlawed years ago as dangerous explosive devices. And I won't even go into the "firefighter" movies like backdraft, although Ladder 49 is pretty true to life.

I was going to put one in the driver's door compartment. Easy to grab and won't move around much. Granted you couldn't have a large one in there, but it will be a lot better than nothing.

If you don't have back seats they mount real nice where the front of the bucket used to mount. I would suggest spending the $100 to get a nice 2.5lbs Halon bottle. It leaves no residue so it won't destroy everything it touches and I think it works alot better than regular dry chem. Just don't breath it, it will displace the oxygen in your lungs.

Anyways, the driveshaft hump would be the ideal place...easy to reach, but also out of the way

If you have, or plan on having a rollcage; I mounted mine in the center of the rollcage cross bar between the front seats - easy to access from driver seat.

Of course it's chrome

Exclamation

I have a small one mounted above me, a bit behind actually, about where the rear of the t-tops would be. The holder has a quick-release catch.

Same. Certain racing organizations recommend having one for track use (Road Course). Even though I realize the majority of people on this board participate in drag racing.

I have one of the small ones. I just keep it propped up leaning against the tunnel in the rear pasenger footwell. That way I can grab it easy or just move it if someone needs to put their feet their.

I don't have nitrous nor have I wired anything up, but you just NEVER KNOW what could happen. Best $15 insurance spent.

I don't think I would ever mount mine in the trunk area. Theres no way I could get back there fast enough to get it.

I agree but it is better than not having one at all.
I have my racecar one inbetween back seats
my DD car in the trunk
and my truck its mounted in the rear door
I have to have one in the car because of my job but its still a good idea to have one and not "Rice" to have one.
It could probley be done in a ricey way just like anything can but just having one is not rice.

also be carefull not mounting it solid inside the passenger compartment, just having it sitting in the car that could be a danger in itself in a wreck.

i have one mounted on the panel covering the spare tire (looks nice), but im gonna relocate it for 2 reasons

1. it would take awhile to get to if i need it
2. pass side stealth box

im thinkin about putting it on the hump inbetween the 2 back seats

also some car shows around here require you to have one in plain sight inside your car..
