i've come to the realization that its not so much knowing how to use the programs to edit photos but having an eye for details and subtle changes that make huge differences.
And no that wasn't directed towards anyone.

Well it looks like you're using a really low res image to begin with. If you want to make adjustments, use the Curves tool. Stay away from the brightness/contrast tool...it will degrade the resolution of the image, whereas Curves is lossless.
You're also blowing them out too far, making the image look overexposed. In Photoshop, this will cause pixelation.

This thread is amazing, Ive kept my eye on this thread probably as long as its been alive, way before i was a member here...
I think its helped me on my editing skills and picture taking skills .. There should be a thread where people post hi-res pics of cars ...

This thread helped me a lot. I'm no expert AT ALL but after reading everything on here and the other linked posts, I went out and bought this camera http://www.fujifilm.com/products/dig...0fd/index.html and I got to work today. I'm happy with the results for my first time!

old thread but who cares. i always use to get pissed off when people claimed "just washed the car and took pics" then i would wash, wax, get every detail and it still wouldnt come out the same but now i found out how they did it. cars appear much cleaner when "fixed"

Thread from the dead! LOL
The last one looks really good. The other two are maybe a bit too much for my tastes personally, but definitely on the right track. There is a lot of good photography in here going back through and browsing all the pictures that people posted up. I'm to the point now where I enjoy looking at other photography more than taking my own pictures sometimes. I'm really truly glad that my little write-up was able to help out a little bit. Keep up the good work guys.
