ghettocruiser, excellent clone stamp work. I suck with the clone stamp. I swear to you I couldn't have done that that clean.

Not bad Ryan. Taking out that warning sign is a PITA. I just looked and I dont see how to do it in GIMP but Photoshop has Shadows/Highlights adjustment and I would have done that as well to help the sky from being washed out. I'd search aroung GIMP some more or see if there are any plugins available to adjust that as well as it helps out alot with skies when they are in pictures.

not bad! be careful with your cloning. Right above your hatch for example. One can clearly sees you cloned that out. Other than that, pretty good sharpening.

It looks good but it needs about 25-50% highlight adjustment.

Here is my first attempt at post production following this guide. I usually just do a few touch ups and call it good. The quality of picture on this one did not help either. Let me know what to do to improve. I went crazy w/ the clone tool just for practice. Meh. Far from perfect thats for sure. So I guess don't comment on the cloning ability, or lack there of....that just takes some practice...

It isn't bad, and I really like the reflection in the water. If you can post up a bigger original I will see what I can do with some NR & PS

Original taken with a Canon 800IS

Trying to clean it up to make a poster. Anyone wants to take a stab at it the original is here. http://nitch.us/pics/IMG_3051.jpg

My attempt. Subtle changes here and there.
You guys really have an eye for detail and small changes when you edit pictures.

I tried to use the dodge tool to lighten the shadows in the trees but it didn't work to well.

I have some really good photos that I like, but I took them in a parking garage and the lighting looks yellow. Anyway to fix that and make the photo real sharp? I have high-res pics I can send to whoever.

Sounds like it was taken with the wrong white balance. It can be corrected somewhat by hue or applying a warming/cooling filter to get the desired effect.

Ditto on the two above posts. If you shot in RAW it would be FAR easier to correct something like that.

bastien..how did you get the front of your car to be so 'clear' and shiny looking from pre to post production. I took your initial picture, and can make it look like your post production one, minus that effect.

I know its blurry, and that pisses me off. I didn't have a tripod, night was falling, and it wasn't my camera. So I snapped 30 quick pics, and only 2 turned out that clear or even close. I even sat on the freaking wet ground to get a better shot with the cam on my knee. But not dice.

Here are 2 more tries. Both times just fiddling with basic shots of the car. Just snapped some quick shots in a driveway.

Suggestions appreciated.

Anyone know where I can get a cheap photoshop?
I'd really like to get it, but I can't cough up $400 for a computer program.
Is Photoshop Elements any good?
