Default LT1 SS Spoiler on LS1 Car

Does anyone have an LT1 Camaro SS Spoiler on an LS1 Camaro??

And if so....was there any fitting problems or modifications done to fit?

Thanks guys....

The LS1 & LT1 SS spoilers are interchangeable, no modifications needed.

Damn really? When I saw it last it was $340.

Although I find it hard to believe that SLP would ever sell anything for a reasonable price. So Im not sure that $125 price sould possibly be correct unless it was a take-off or something.

Incorrect. The connector that makes the third brake light work is different. If your going to use the lt1 spoiler you will need to cut off the old harness and splice the power and ground together. Same goes for lt1 guys wanting to upgrade to the ls1 spoiler.

The LT1 SS spoiler flares up, but does not have the LED brake light or the two pilars in the middle. I think an LT1 SS spoiler would be a good upgrade for any Z-28. If you already have an LS1 SS spoiler then theres really no need to unless you like the LT1 style better.

The Mecham to me looks like a LS1 SS spoiler as far and curvature goes, just without the supports. The LT1 SS Spoiler is more subtle in how it curves. I kinda like the Mecham....I have heard bad things about Mecham Hoods as far as quality goes, so I wonder how well that spoiler will fit.

The LS1 SS spoiler has waaaaay more of a "lip" than the LT1 version. I have both since the LT1 version came on my 97 SS. The LT1 SS spoiler is a Z28 spoiler with some extra fiberglass on top to make a lip. The LS1 SS spoiler is completely re-molded to make it have a higher lip. Honestly, if your in the market for a new spoiler, get the LS1 version.

The mecham has an LED brake light, which the LT1 SS spoiler does not. The mecham also has more lip than the LS1 SS spoiler.
