Infinite, you might be more interested in one of these units. It's a pioneer avic-d3. It has everything you mentioned with the carputer minus the harddrive. However it supports ipod video's with an interface cable - which allows you to control the ipod via the touchscreen.

You can watch videos off the ipod, listen to music, create customized background images, everything! Just a thought!

Phantom, that bezel came out awesome!! I'm DEFINITELY going to remember the leather idea to cover mine with, it's amazing how stock it looks!!

I've kicked the double DIN idea around so many times it hurts. While it's definitely possible to do, but with a T/A's bezel space it makes a little harder since I can't remove any buttons or anything for extra room since the height of a double DIN is 1/4" or so bigger than what my opening is now. No one can tell with my HU, but it's actually missing 1/4" off the bottom to keep the bezel simple to make and it's not missed. Also a depth will limit which double DIN one I can put in there and keep it all flush. I added things up and for the same price I could put a full blown dual-core computer in mine with the only (and it's a big one) is making it all work flawlessly together inside a car like a double DIN would. Electronics is something I've always dabbled in, so it'll give me something to do and set it up 110% exactly the way I want it. I'll also make the VGA LCD 100% viewable this time.

Some shots of my interior on my webpage.. I'll post some newer ones when I get home: http://snootch420.googlepages.com/pontiacpc

I have done:
-8" touchscreen in-dash
-MBA billet aluminum shift ****
-Relocated AC controls to the glovebox
-silver painted vent rings
-flush mounted Griffin Powermate in center console (for PC)
-USB port flush mounted next to cig lighter

Next, i'd like to recover the seats in new leather, and get the elbow rest re-covered.

Just a little something. Haven't done much to the interior. White faced gauges and custom headrests about wrap it up.

Brian2006, TORCHD 02TA both know of my modification and are interested in one once completed.
