That looks GREAT

I REALLY want those headlights now... The girl has good taste

Is it still getting a gloss black Manta stripe?

Charcoal metallic painted spokes and matching Manta could look killer !

The hood scoop is black. You just can't see it too well in this picture.

I like the black top, black mirrors & back tail filler/berger All goes together well! When you have smoked headlights and turn signals it makes it look even better

Looking really good. I was just kidding about the booth, a good cut and buff will fix any imperfections.

More info on those lights please. Are those projectors? Im not big on after market lights but Im digging those.

Edit: I see now they are projectors. I was using my phone earlier and couldnt tell. But I would still like some info on them.

I think if you just type in "Camaro Halo" on Ebay, you will find the company selling those. The funny thing is, she ordered black Halos....you know, regular Halos that everyone else here is running, and that's what she landed up with....they made a mistake. She only paid 182 dollars, including shipping, for both head lights AND the black sidemarkers. When I openend the box up I was in shock....was tempted to put those things on my car!!

I am wondering...as far as the cut and buff goes...how long are you supposed to wait until you wetsand and buff the clear? Coz on her car, it was done the next day. Right now the car kinda looks a bit hazy....sorta swirled up, and I am not quite sure what the next logical step is? Leave it alone for a month or so and then clay it and Zaino it....or what should I do with it?

God intervened and saved her from making a mistake

I wish I was a hot chick that randomly got better $hit than what I could afford...

Then again if I was a hot chick I'd be a ***** and could afford anything I wanted

Agreed.
Sounds like he didnt buff it out enough. You could wax it but it will keep coming back. It needs to be taken care of NOW. Hopefully he will finish the job right. These are the things you have to deal with when getting an inexpensive pant job.

Well the paint guy kinda caused the problem....it wasn't hazy at all before. Here is how it went down.

- Put on 3 coats of base, with only about 15 mins time between coats.
- Put on 2 coats of clear, with about 20 mins between coats.
- No baking was involved, and no booth for that matter.
- Car was wetsanded and buffed the following day.
- On that same day, after buffing it, he taped off for the hood scoop to be painted black, mind you, the area that was to be painted black was cleared already!
- After taping it off, he put some kinda wax over the entire car to make "dealing with overspray" easier
- The area to be painted black on the scoop was wetsanded but not buffed, and he scuffed it up with scotchbrite before laying down 2 coats of black base and two coats of clear
- Removed the taping and all the wax on the car
- Wetsanded the hood and buffed the hood
- Washed car and re-buffed entire car

When I picked it up, it had some problem spots in the clear right behind the wheel on the rear bumper cover, looks like real dense orange peel. The car looked hazy and swirly, and there were areas were the compound was still on the car....couldn't tell exactly what that was, if it was cutting compound or the "hand glaze" that he said he would do the car.

Seeing it at night, under neon lights and high humidity really made it look crappy.

So should this thing be cleaned up and buffed again, or what should be the next step?

Thanks for help guys.

Hey Steve....wanna come up tonight and look at it?
