Default VHT on stock amber corners?

I was just wondering if anyone has smoked the stock amber turnsignals with VHT. I was wondering if the color still looks ok with the daytime running lights on and all. I VHT'd the amber turnsignals on my old truck today and it still lit up about the same and looked good. So I was thinking about just smoking the stockers vs buying clear corners and smoking them. What are your guys' opinions?

I dont have it but I have seen cars with it done on here. I think it looks pretty good on a black or dark car. I haven't seen it on a light color car yet so I don't know how that matchs. As for it lighting up as long as you dont over do it its just fine.

A single coat of Niteshades on any lens is plenty of tint with relatively minimal light reduction. It'll look good on the amber corners, better on clear corners if you had them. Go for it.

I put 4 coats on mine...it still lights up amber. It isn't as bright, but you can still see it just fine in direct sunlight. You can also still see the amber color throught the VHT, but it is pretty dark...wish I had pics.

Smoked them today, but i went a little too dark. It lights up somewhat red now and is really dim durning the day. I like the way it looks at night though being red, looks kind of evil. Not sure if i want to redo them or not. I should have just left them after the initial coat, but i tried clearing them and that looked like **** so i just sanded that down some and put another coat of VHT on. So its pretty dark now. Its probably kind of unsafe let alone illegal to have them that dark, so I will probably end up stripping them down and re doing it tomorrow.
