Default has anyone actually tinted their tail lights?

i was wondering who has actually tinted, not sprayed it dark or put the covers on, but actually used automotive window tint to darken them up alittle? i'm wanting to tint my tail lights with some 35% tint and wondered if anyone has actually done it and how?

The only thing I have to offer to this is that there are people that sell precut tint for headlight/taillight lenses on ebay.

I'm not sure if it's actual window tint or not... but it's the same concept.

wouldnt last...window tint is on the inside of the car. away from the elements and highway speeds...car washes...etc...

ive used window tint on my marker lights and they look great. I've had to redo them once in 3 years now so they last pretty well. i tried to tint my third taillight but the curvature at the bottom made it hard, so the taillights would be pretty hard to make look right.

do you have any pictures?

i've always seen window tinters do the inside window then the outside window for DARK results, wonder if that's a special tint

the ebay ideas a flush... i bought pre cut crap on ebay... it was like a vinyl but like 15%..... and it just didnt look right.. i mean it was ok at a distance but... just looked like *** up close.... my 5 year old sister could have cut it better... i would say spend the couple bucks try it yourself.. and if you dont like it.... just by the hard covers...

i would say DON'T do that, unless you like your taillights warped. nightshades is the way to go.

Yes Niteshades is the way to go I have aVs covers now and at night they shine through fine but you can barely see me brake during the day when its sunny. plus you can make them as dark as you want. on my last car i niteshaded the lights and never had any problems

Try one coat of Niteshades - I believe you'll find what you're looking for.

At least the BILLION PM's of; "Where did you get your hood?", "Where did you get your grill?", "Which rims are those?", "Tell me everything about your seats even though you have fifty in-depth write-ups on them..." have stopped
