It depends on how many coats you put on. Mine have a few light coats, and can be seen easily in daylight.

I'll post a pick if I can find one.

This might just be the reflection, I can't remember. I'll take another when I get off work.

Check the link in my sig
FWIW at night or in the daylight they seem only slightly dimmer than stock, it's tough to get the pic right so it shows it, but so far no cops have given me any grief for having tinted tails ^6 coats of vht

The vht lets plenty of light through! you dont have to worry about that at all. i had covers back in the day and people were always telling me my lights werent on, no problems since i nightshaded them

Anyone know why my VHT is cracking. I decided to do my 3rd brake light and I had no trouble before, but it cracked horribly. I put another coat on and no luck. I put the clear coat on and it's still cracking. I have no idea why it's not working for me this time, I even sanded down the plastic before hand.

Seems to be a common problem with some of the 3rd brake lights
maybe some tinted vinal sticker would work to black it out

Weird, this has me completely stumped though. Why would it crack on the 3rd brake light. I put 5 very thick coats of clear over it and i hope i can sand it out...the clear just keeps building up over the cracks and cracks again. I guess I can put a strip of tint over it and it'll look good.

your coats might be too heavy, and you may not be waiting long enough before a second coat

You need to sand it down smooth and spray an adhesion promoter on it first. I had the same problem, and a trip to Autozone to buy a $4 can of that **** fixed it.

I wish I would have known to use it the first time, it would have saved me a lot of damn time.
