Nice idea, but it just doesn't look good to me. Maybe if you had left a red outline around the nostril area. I dunno, I guess it's the hood I don't like, but otherwise a good idea.

Default Ahh

That looks NICE! I just had the manta ray style decal painted on my SS. Red and black go nice together! Now I am hooking up the rear Camaro panel black sorta like the Berger's panels.

looks sick, would look good if you painted the front of the bumper under the nostrils black, but i love the look of that hood. Looks very good IMO.

Thanks for your opinion, and i welcome any and all dislike/disapproval comments just like I would a positive one.

However, i bet if VFN made this hood you'd like it. We all know you rule their appreciation thread and have tested fitted several of their hoods. Im not trying to start anything im just suggesting that your opinion may be a biased one.

I like their WS9 hood and their raised ram air versions, and i was a heartbeat away from buying a ws9 one instead of this! The only thing that really swayed me to this hood was its uniqueness and rarity.

anyway... cheers

yea i am gonna do the mirrors, trunklid and nostrils, but i wanted to get the hood done first to get an idea what it would look like before i went all in and did everything.

to anyone that missed it, i had a photoshop thread going in the paint section with a bunch of photochops of what the final version will look close to: https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-body-work/746005-think-im-gonna-go-paintjob-photoshop.html

i guess you could call this Step: 1, next step nostrils, mirrors, trunklid

Leave the mirrors body colored and do the top of the spoiler, and I would maybe make the pinstripes around it just a very small touch thicker. I love the idea though.

I think it should have extended over the bottom of the nostrils, but it still looks good.

I'm just gonna say that VFN does make a similar hood and I don't like it. What I don't like about this hood is the openings for the ramair. They are just tooo big.

I love the car, love the hood, not a big fan of the black scoop, imo it looks unfinished.
