Default GMMG Front Bumper

does any company make reproduction gmmg bumpers? if not is it possible to make your own gmmg style bumper .. the major differences that i noticed was the lip and that they removed the fog lights

it also must flare out like that at the sides to meet up with the fenders... gmmg fenders which you cant get anywhere.

In an issue of GM High Tech it says that those body panels will never be made again due to legal reasons...but I hear they are going to start remaking fenders, so i'd imagine bumpers too.

No one makes them yet. The bumper on that car looks like it is a one-off because the front fenders seem to flare out more than on any of the other wide-body camaros. A front bumper can be made to resemble the one on the GMMG/DH cars. I'd imagine it would be about $400-500. The rear quarter panels are an entirely different story though. I don't think many companies would attempt to do that.

Removing the fogs is the least of the concerns.

If you just want the lip with some body work it'd be possible IMO. Look at what Whistler/VSG did grafting a C5 piece to a Camaro. But to get an "exact" replica...it'd be a lot of time and effort.

There is/was a company that was in the process of making the rest of the GMMG body (fenders/quarters), but they had no plans to make the bumper cover. You could do the whole thing if you bought a sunoco hood, the body kit that's being developed, and paid a body shop to do the bumper.

yeah .. i would use the fog light area and fabricate a ram-air style intake with tubes running up to the air-box .. that way i could have the functionality of the ss hood with the looks of the sunoco cowl

It still puzzles me why a manufacturer has not stepped up to make these pieces... There is definitely a market for them if they are done right.

You could make a front bumper similar to that, Rai already pointed out the differnce with his blue and green marks. I already have some ideas, using a donor bottom lip, and hopefully get to make it a reality sometime soon.

I am currently workng on my 3" SS hood like VFN's but fully functional like OEM. The rear of the scoop will extend back to the windshield more as well.
