Default has anyone successfully vht'ed their 3rd brake light

the title asks the question. if so how if not how did you darken the third brake light.

I did.

I just did it like every other light i VHTed. Sanded down with 1000, Cleaned with rubbing alcohol. sprayed lightly, Muliple times. Sanded with 1000 again. Cleared, Sanded with 1000 then 2000, then rubbing compound, polishing compound and wax.

I did mine also. No sanding prior to applying the VHT though. It's just like every other lens you would do. I don't understand why so many people have problems with it.

I first cleaned mine w/wax & grease remover...scuffed it with a scotch-brite pad...sprayed the VHT. Waited a few days, scuffed it again and sprayed clear. Waited a few days, wet sanded with 2000 grit, then hand polished. Looks great.

Anything else besides VHT? I also want to tint just the brake light but dont really want to pay $50 a bottle just to do one light....
