Need ideas for new paint color!
I've got all kinds of ideas jumping around in my head and I need ideas for a new color for my ride. I love black and it looks damn sexy on f-bodies but there are a few reasons why I don't want to keep it.
1) I have horrible luck with black cars and paint
2) Way to hard to keep clean especially with school, work, and football season.
3) Car really isn't black, it's black base coat with pearl blue in the clear. But it's a shitty paint job that looks like someone did in their driveway.
4) I want something different!

you could go with something like a dark blue metalic. I think they look sick on F-bodies, sun really brings it out during the day, and at night it looks black. best of both worlds. but if you really want something different, go with a sunburnt orange, sorta like the GTOs, i think that color is freakin sweet.

Go with a mystichrome like the 2004 Mustang Cobra. That would really **** some people off. J/k
Seriously if I would go custom, I would do something similar but with the dupont chroma-whatever.

ive got a ton of ideas just hard to decide. flame red basecoat with black pearl. BMW laguna seca blue, Vette Nassau Blue, Tree Frog Green (08 Porsche 911 GT3 RS) with black pearl in the clearcoat, or a metallic purple. I want something kind of wild since it's not going to be a DD but I also want it to look intimidating.

Steel Blue Metallic. Its a GM color from the 80s and early 90s. It was used on Corvettes for like 2 -3 years combined (last being 91).
I think if you can play with the coloring (like mix some more white in, some black whatever) you could have an amazing color that'd be pretty unique and easy to keep clean (my dads got a 91 in this color).

I think one of the coolest paint jobs I've seen was a black camaro that had orange and red UV reactive paint on top. When it is cloudy out it looked just black, but when the sun would come out there would be this flame on the hood and fenders. It wasn't like those super bright cheesy cartoon flames but looked like subtle real flame.
