Default Installing a 3 piece spoiler, I need suggestions

I just bought a 3 piece RK Sport spoiler for my Z28. I noticed that they want you to drill holes to put this on, I am wondering if I could get by with just using the strongest 3M adhesive I can find and be OK without drilling holes into my car. Any suggestions on this?

I would drill. the stock 3rd gen 3 piece were bolted in like these. I wish they would have provided a cardboard or thin plastic guide to make sure you get the holes in the right places. I havent drilled mine yet either.

Im not going to drill, I only paid $90 for it painted, thats not worth me drilling holes into the body of my car.

That spoiler is made to catch a LOT of air and force the rear of the car down. 3M tape is not going to do the job.

Maybe 3M tape it, drive it around town (aka: low speeds) and make sure you like the spoiler before you drill into your car but don't go ona highway with it, you'll risk hurting someone else and causing an accident if a piece hits a windshield.

If it makes you feel better, even the factory RS spoilers were mounted with holes in the quarters...

I put the GM 3 piece spoiler on from the sport appearance package. I did not want to drill all those holes in my car. Three in each end piece and if I remember right about 5 in the center piece. I talked to a friend at a body shop and he said 3M tape would hold it. It has been on since March with only tape. I had to the dragstrip over 100 mph and on the freeway. I have put about 1500 miles on it and no problems.

That spoiler is a lot smaller than the large 3-piece RK Sport offers and doesn't really do $hit to cause downforce... Apples and oranges.

Pics as requested

We will see how it holds up, if a piece falls off, so be it, it was only $90.

I thought you had the RK Sport spoiler (the 5" version) not RK Sport's copy of the RS spoiler.

You SHOULD be fine with the 3M tape...

I dont think there is anything I can do about that unless I drill holes to force that piece onto the body. It looks fine in person.
