I'm SERIOUSLY thinking about getting rid of my sand-tan interior and going with black interior/leather seats/etc. I've started shopping around and have been able to find everything to do the swap, though I've got some other priorities and am not ready to buy everything yet. I think I might buy peice by peice until I have it all. Has anybody here done this before? Thoughts/comments/ideas welcome.

Thoose pictures look to familar. Did the same exact thing with Ebony Leather. I bought a friends wrecked Z entire interior for 500. Took a saturday afternoon and did what you did and pulled the old tan and put the ebony in. The color the interior should have been from the start IMO... That looks very clean...

Yeah I keep playing with the idea to go to ebony, the problem is with a 99 I'd have to swap out the dash and my dash is perfect no irregularities around the Air bags etc which is the first I've seen.
Other than the dash the interior is extremely easy to swap out. Give me some 7, 8, 13 mm tools with the torx bit for the seat belts I could have it swapped in probably under an hour but I've done it LOTS of times. The worst part is the hanger thingyies on the sail panels I usually leave those out until I think I'm DONE with a project.
I would do the 99 charcoal but It would be hard to find parts in good enough condition...
