hids on trans ams?

looking into getting hids for my car. i was told that i had to get new housings cause they dont make hids that fit into the stock sealed beam housings. also, do they make projectors for t/a's, or do u have to make them?

There are a few guys running HIDs on there trans am's. I am sure they will chime in. I know there are a few guys who purchsaed the sealed beam that is able to support an HID bulb. If you want to do projectors you are on your own as I have not seen any aftermarket one's. But both options are doable.

Yeah, the Lighting FAQ (in the "Hall of Fame" sticky) is a good place to start.

2- $150 per kit on ebay for bulbs
4 - $25 new sealed beam headlights

30 min worth of work per headlight then install.

new sealed beam headlights have metal backs, cut away the white stuff and unscrew the bulb and take it out, put the new HID bulb in, and high temp silcone it up. DOT apporved, Factory looking HIDs.
