the title change confused me. i thought this was as extremely old thread of yours just being brought back that i had never seen before
but, thinking it was something i hadn't seen yet made me re-read the first page again to check it out. and since i haven't in so long, it was like new again.
crazy how much some people can be SO against something different than a plain jane stock camaro....
why so against it??
i love it!!!! your definitely doing it right
keep up the great work!

All the haters in here are rediculous. At the shop I have worked at we bag almost all of our cars and most of them are all old muscle cars. They handle better than they did from the factory and they regularly run around the auto-x course. At GG Columbus this past summer we ran the second fastest autox time of the day in a bagged 69 transam convertible that I have posted pics of before on this site.
Air ride has alot of advantages. You can vary your ride height to suit where you are driving. Personally laying rocker while parked is the best look you can have, and there are alot of people in the car industry that agree.
We have also built a 98 transam that will run 10s all day in the 1/4 mile, has run countless laps around the roadcourse and auto-x. Will probably run circles around most of the stock suspension cars in here, and it is on air.

Because it's just another short term fad. Remember 10 or 15 years ago when every one wanted hydraulics until people finally realized how stupid and pointless they were.

There's nothing new about air springs. The OEMs have used them for decades and they are used on almost all 18 wheelers with high success. They are even used in environmental and performace applications to lower the ride height above certain speeds for less drag resulting in better mpg, higher top speeds and increased stability.

Because Camaros and Firebirds are timeless muscle cars that people will still appreciate the looks of 50 years from now just like we think of the 69 Camaro. You can talk about the performance benefits of it but is that why yor are doing this? No. Just go ahead an throw neon lights and a beer can muffler on it. $100 says if 5 years you look back and say what the hell did I do.

either way though, whats the difference whether its bagged or not, whether its a fad or not, or whether its for performance or not? he can adjust the height however he wants. so if he wants to drive stock height all the time he can. so whats the issue with it
you get the height of your choice, and also the performance benefits. sounds like a win win.
