corvette engine covers

i was asking a guy if his 98 covette ls1 covers would fit on my 98 camaro engine and he said he didn't really know much about the engine and told me to ask around....so does anyone know before i buy these?

Yes, they will fit, with some minor modifications. There are some things on our cars that are not on the vettes, like throttle cables. The bracket for the cables gets in the way. If you have TCS, you can trim the bracket and not cut the FRC. If you do not have TCS, your cruise control cable is on the outer part of the bracket and the bracket cannot be trimmed, you will have to 'notch' the passenger FRC to fit. Also, if you have an auto, you may have to either cut a small notch in the passenger FRC so it will fit or see if you can move the dip stick.
They take a little work, but look awesome when installed. I have some that I am almost finished with. I will post some pics when I get them installed.

If you still have that pic of the engine covers cut to fit 98 camaro, please pm it to me bc im actually doing that same thing to mine and dont want to butcher it.

Wow, old thread revive. Anyway, if you go out to your car and try to install them, you'll see what needs to be cut. Also, you can go over to afterthoughts auto, they sell them already modified to fit, so you can use their pics as a reference or buy some of theirs and sell yours.
