I would be disappointed with that fitment..... Funny thing is that my OEM ss hood fit better than my factory z28 hood....... so there is some decent tolerance from the factory.

I Would also agree with others in saying I would never have gone as far as sanding or painting. Should have called them on it Immediately.

I got a ws9 from roger and I hope I don't have too many problems with it. Your hood is not horrible but I understand your displeasure.

That's like telling your fat girlfriend that she shouldn't go to the gym.

Well looking at this... I would have to say that this should have been seen before the hood was ever prepped/painted, I would have sent it straight back to VFN.

guys i am sorry that is unacceptable, i bought an lt1 style aftermarket ram air hood in 98 for my 91 trans am and it fit perfectly from suncoast and even back then the body shop said that it was easy to work with as almost all of the hoods that they installed were, vfn has a great rep definitely so i think the blame lies on 2 parts them on the hood itself and the customer who shouldve reurned upon test fitting prior to painting it.....good luck maybe u can work something out with them based upon how good there reputation is....
