Anyone else hate our turn signel switch?

You beat me to it!!!! I just hold it down or up when making a lane change and I never hear the dreaded click, except while at a light or stop sign. I can already see people that didn't know about this jumping in their car to try it out Go try it everyone it really works!!!!
thank you random guy on ls1tech.com

Without the loud "click" and echo sounds from the blinker, how else do you expect to hear the turn signal over the LS1 engine?? Last thing I want is to accidently leave my blinker on, making myself look like an old man driving that cant hear. :-)

I have no problems with mine. I like that it has a definitive click to it, nice and solid compared to the old worn sloppy one in my old ford taurus And the delay wiper function works properly too! (one in the taurus would randomly have fits and turn the wipers off or get them stuck at the most inopportune times)
one time i came home and shut the car off and the headlights wouldnt go off.. turns out the flash to pass was broken and stuck on. i had to pull the fuse for the headlights so they wouldnt stay on all night... then the next morning i forgot to put the fuse back in and i couldnt shift the car out of park because the brake safety switch was wired into the same fuse once i replaced the fuse, i promptly went to the pick and pull for another switch
a buddy of mine had a 91 tempo that would randomly turn on the windshield wipers when you put on the turn signals

no it definitely blinks. and if you hit it jsut right itll blink super fast like you have a blown bulb. i do this all the time changing lanes. too bad it doesnt do this for the high beams. id like to flash at people without having to click the high beams on, then click them off several times. but oh well.

GM pretty much cheaped out on this part. The turn signal lever was garbage on my 1999 Z28. All the white paint was wearing off as well.
The turn signal in my 1991 Cadillac Brougham is a chrome plated metal rod with a plastic piece on the end. It feels like a bolt action rifle, and I don't think they had changed that part since 1965 on that particular car.
