Default (FEELER) Custom LED tail lights?

I was just wondering how many members of this site would want custom LED tail lights? It would use OEM tail lights (NO ALTEZZA CRAP) and would be avaliable for BOTH Camaro and Firebird.

I would be able to offer a standard blinking LED option and a option to have the LEDs sequence for the turn signal. As well as various different patterns for the LEDS.

I am in the process of making some for my camaro and everything is going pretty well with the sequencing. Ill post a pics whenever i am complete.

What would you guys be willing to pay for somthing like this. Shipping aside?
Please note You would be responsible for sending me your tail lights!

-MODS this is just a feeler I am in no way ready to sell or taking any kind of money from members for this service w/o becoming a sponser first.

thank you
jesse

Just a heads up, your going to need some VERY VERY bright leds or some good diffusers if you plan on using the stock lenses having them still be visible in broad day light. I used 87 60,000mcd LEDs and in the day time, they were very hard to see. Without the lens, they were blinding, the but the lens ate the light alive.

Put the same color LED behind the lens and the light loss won't be as bad. The lens is red and is designed to only let red light through. If the LED is already red, then less light should be blocked. At least that is the theory anyway and what some manufacturers recommend.

Right.. I figured that was a given and didn't mention that. My LEDs were 60,000mcd RED LEDs (87 per tail light), and they were near impossible to see in daylight.. The problem is all the angles and optics of the stock lens that makes the incandescent bulb more equally diffused and even. It messes up the light pattern of the LEDs and drastically reduces visibility.

I could be interested in LED taillights. Would they be based on the LT1 taillights?

I have an interest if they look good. Safety and the lights working well is still a main prioroity for me. I was thinking about changing to the OEM euro taillights. But LED's would be cool too.

I'm in! I'd love some LED tails to match my LED high mount stop-lamp.

Hi guys, I would be doing them for both camaro and TA/Firbird. As of right now you would have to send me your tail lights to get modified. It doesnt matter if they are Lt1 or LS1 tails. I do not have enough tail lights to just sell. this may become an option later. I dont have any pics as of yet because I am still working on the proto type and making sure everything works the way its supposed to. I also do not want to give a price, But shipping aside they will be cheaper then buying the LED tails from ebay.
