Why Do They Call It "RAM AIR"?

looks like a child drew the word air and two arrows pointing to a ws6 on paint ![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
but it makes sense now -- its kind of hard to see the air being RAMed in when it just says air
i always thought the letters in ram actually meant some thing -- like how cai is cold air intake
but i guess the name is just as useless as the hood

it was just cold outside in the morning and a little frost had built up on the hood
it shows the outlines of the ss hood design when you leave it out over night
