Complete newbie and I need to replace a headlight lamp on a Ford...
Well, before anyone wants to flame me I'm 16 with only a permit and I still don't have a car. All I'm doing on this forum is reading and learning until I get my car.
So this question is for my mom's car (2007 Ford Focus)...the headlights are really bad and at night it's barely noticeable that the lights are on (for me, not when you see it from outside) Sometimes I need to drive with the highbeams to get good light on the highway.
So I want to replace them myself and I have a few questions...
Where should I buy the lamp and what type should I expect to find? Any different types of bulbs or anything? And how do I replace the lights without breaking anything?

Do a google search and find out what type bulbs they utilize. Order a set of Xenons from streetglow.com or automotivelightingusa.com and put those in. Then see if you don't have a good beam pattern. Bulbs will dim over a year or two so it helps to upgrade them occasionally. If it still sucks try and google for Ford Focus Beam Pattern Adjustment or something along those lines.

Take it to autozone, let them know you want brighter headlights and ask them if they can help you put them in. They should help you free of charge and point you in the right direction as to which bulbs to buy.

Yeah he is right it might be your vision. My dad has night blindness and has trouble seeing things at night. Welcome to the young club. You will get bashed for the littlest things just because you are young. Dont take things personal because almost everybody is being sarcastic most of the time.
