Default If you are thinking about lowering your car DO IT

Even though my car has been lowered for a couple months, i havent taken any pictures of it or updated or hell even shown it off. Ill get more pics later tonight , but wow, the difference in appearance that lowering car makes is incredible! It is by far the best appearance mod i have done to the car.. and the added handling and tracking improvements are a plus!

After:

In the last photo i have also tinted the tail lights and side markers

lowering is great unless you run longtubes and 3" exhaust... have to be pretty careful on driveways and speed humps. Ive wiped out more than one set of clamps

Appearance-wise, lowering is one of the most dramatic mods you can do

Function-wise? Oil changes, getting the car on a lift, getting the car jacked up, taking it through the carwash, certain driveways, speed bumps / humps. Many times being lowered is a real pain in the you know what

I would raise mine back up one inch if I could... doesnt sound like much but i think it would make life easier sometimes.

I went back and looked at receipts... ive had the car lowered since August of 07. I have my longtubes and 3 "TSP true duals on right at a year. i have had zero problems whatsoever with scraping except ove huge speedbumps and i avoid them anyways at all cost. I even avoided them when the car was still completely stock. If you have headers and a 3 inch exhaust, dont be afraid to lower the car. It isnt as bad as you think it is. Afterall i figure most of you all TRY to aleast avoid the potholes in the road that would swallow a semi, the 5 ft tall speedbumps and curbs... all that is if you dont run sportlines or any other spring that reduces ride height to extreme lows

That's what I love about my Ground Control Kit..I can raise or lower it as little or as much as I want in the front, back, left, right..whatever I wanna do.

When I bought the car it looked amzing, but was too low to even get a floor jack underneath it with the subframe connnectors...so I raised it a half inch, and now I can get a floor jack under it and the stance is even better IMO.

But I agree, lowering makes a car look SOOOOOO much better, especially on the LS1 T/A's...mine wasn't lowered when I had it, but the new owner lowered it with a ground control kit and it looks Awesome now!

Nice job on the tinting and yes the lowering looks great.
I look at old pics of my car with 16s and stock height to remind myself how good of a mod it is-performance and appearance wise.

I would lower mine, but my nose already scrpaes as it is... and mine's stock. i see so many imports around here (the ones with the body kits 2in from the ground) and they're all cracked and bent. the roads around here are rediculously bad.

Wait, so you guys don't take your F-bodies mudding?

I cannot wait to lower mine. Hate the stock stance.

Looks good, But no more Rock Climbing??haha.

My car is lowered with LT's and I have no problems. You just have to change the way that you drive and be real careful when you drive around in unfamiliar places.
