GMMG Emblem If I put a new GMMG exhaust system on my car and put a GMMG emblem on the back, on the left side where the Hurst emblem is usually, are people going to freak out because they think I'm trying to make it look like a Berger/ZL1/Dick Harrell car, or are they going to understand that I have that on there because I have the exhaust? I hate explaining to people that I have a Z28 not an SS just because I have the SS hood and no Z emblems on the outside and I don't want to have to fend off all the people who think I'm trying to make my car into something its not.

First off its your car so do what you want to it. The people who know cars (esp firebirds/camaros) are going to know that its not true Harrell car. People who dont really know their car stuff prob wont even notice it or figure out what it means. Like you said...they have hurst emblem for the cars. If you put it on jut be prepared to explain why its there.

There are a lot of mustang/ricer owners around here who think they know everything there is to know about cars because they saw something on tv or the internet about it and are always telling people their cars are wrong even though they are the ones with the Type-R emblems on their civic hatchbacks or SVT emblems on their V6 and I just get really tired of having to explain to them why my car is the way it is and don't really feel like doing it anymore. Thats why I am wondering if it is worth it.
I say go ahead with the GMMG emblem just don't put the SS badges on beause you have the hood and everything. Just don't try to fool people into thinking you have something that you don't. Btw, I love the sound of GMMG exhaust.

I have the GMMG emblem on my car since I have the catback as well. I don't care for a min. if someone thinks I should or shouldn't have it on there. It's my car so I'm going to do what I want to it.

I really think the SS is overrated to being with, I like my 3 piece spoiler better than the SS and I like my '02 Z28 rims better too, I just like the ram air hood better than the plain one. As for badges, mine doesn't have any because the guy before me took them off and I don't want to pay $100 just for the stock badges. And I don't plan on putting any stickers on my car, to ricer, so I thought a nice GMMG and Z28 emblems for the back and maybe get some LS1 emblems for the sides and call it a day, but I really have doubts about putting any on my car at all.

Its your car, and you should mod it how ever you like. I wouldn't worry about what other people said. Thats their opinion. If you like it, roll with it. If I spent 700 on a gmmg, I would definately put the badge on the car. Its no different than putting a k&n sticker beside your air box when you buy one of their filters.
Do you really give a rats A$$ what people think it's your car enjoy it. GMMG offers these to customers so they can put them on the cars enjoy the exhaust and display your GMMG decal
