First of all the treatment stuff you spray is called OZIUM...
Second of all there was a guy on here making filters for our cars, they go on the cowl between the windshield and hood.
Do a search to see if he is still selling them or has the write-up, seemed easy...

They drill a hole in your evap core, screw in a valve. Once that is done, they hook up a can of this cleaning foam and then open the valve.
Run the A/C on MAX, and the foam cleans the evaporator, and in the process, gets rid of bad smells. Oh yea...it cools MUCH better.
The condensation washes away the foam from the evap.

off topic, but if you want a fun pollen/dust filter to change go try your luck on a 98-02 accord lol. The techs and I at the honda dealership i work at rather change a timing belt than one of those things.
I imagine if any of the f-bodies came with them, they are just a big of a pain in the *** to replace. You could just take the dash out and wedge a filter in front of the blower fan

you have to be kidding me, all you do is pull the glovebox out on the accord.
the odysseys are the pain in the *** ones. you have to cut the support bar if its
the first time.
on a side note there is a filter on the f body. its by the evaporator. when i took my a/c and heat out of my car i found it.

It's an A/C service/cleaning/treatment - depending. I like and have done the BG one on my car and it's NICE. Better cooling and fresh smell.
Did the frigi-clean and frigi-fresh on mine:
http://www.bgprod.com/products/climatecontrol.html
There are other good ones out there. Price would dictate this service be once a year at most, probably every 2 years, depending on climate.

my car has a module which runs the blower fan to keep the cabin smelling fresh. For the first year, it would freak me out when it turned on, especially when I had my head under the hood, working on the car. It was installed at a local cadillac dealership while under warranty. Apparently a lot of cadillac owners (old people) have problems with their cars smelling. The previous owners has it installed, cause I think the clutch made an aweful smell, when it got hot, not the normally burning clutch smell. I never smelt the smell again after getting a new clutch and hydraulics, a year or so after buying the car.
I will say though it does help as I do smoke, and it keeps my car from smelling like a complete ash tray
