No, I'm afraid not, we don't recover shift ***** or ebrake handles.

Thank you

Maciek,

Tried to order my shift boot with the discount tonight, but the order page will not let me order the bracket. I need the bracket because mine is broke. Do you not have any in stock?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi,

Yes, I'm afraid we've had to discontinue the brackets, and what's worse it appears as though this situation could be permanent.

Wow, so you have none left in stock? Id pay double for one of those. Any idea of another place to find a replacement?

Thanks,

Ryan

Well this is a bummer, I need a new shift boot as the bracket is broken and I came along this, only to find out the bracket can no longer be had. Ugh!

Hi everyone,

I have some FANTASTIC news for dozens of you who have been emailing me about this these past months.

Some months ago we've had to discontinue the production of the shift boot brackets because of an unexpected death of our employee who was in charge of making those. Ever since we've been trying to find somebody to replace him, but whoever we tried they couldn't come up with the same shape (it IS a complicated shape for sure) consistently.

FINALLY, we've found somebody who can produce them for us and we have the brackets back in stock for the time being.

Our wire-frame bracket for the shift boot is a direct replacement for the stock plastic piece, which gets brittle with age and is shattered on most cars. To order this piece in addition to your boot, please select the bracket in the order form (there's a special field for that purpose). You can also order it separate of our boots of course. Please go to the respective Camaro/Firebird page on our website to find out how.

We have contracted a first trial run of a 100 pieces - we are not sure if further will be available, that pretty much depends on how well these sell. So take them while they last!

We will be posting a discount code later today.

Take care
Maciek

Anyone know what size shift boot is needed, or looks best with lou's short stick for the shifter?

Also, what color black leather, and stitching looks best with the ebony leather on the 02 trans am?

Black leather is the best match to the ebony interior - charcoal is on the bright side and it's better if the boots are darken than brighter than the seats.

Thank you

I'm actually trying to remember what the interior color on my 02 is called now, I think it's ebony, but it could be dark charcoal on verge of being black.

any idea what size boots most people order for their cars? Most have short throw shifters, so not sure how far to cut down the boot on the order page to get the correct length and look clean.

Hi all,

Here's a nice comparison between stock pieces and our work. The shift boot is stock - vinyl, plain and uninteresting. The ebrake boot is our black leather with quadruple white and red threads.

Notice how dull the shift boot appears next to that ebrake boot. It's a shame Ford didn't invest into more worthy items for the 05+ Mustang, which is the car in the picture below.

That picture does not do our work justice, as the person who took it told us. It's taken with an iPhone and it's a bit out of focus.

The new code is 6DH332SU51Q valid through April 17th.

Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it, and have a great weekend to those that don't.

Do you have pictures of the faux-alcantra installed? I bought a faux-alcantra boot from someone a couple years ago (I thought it was you but I don't think you've been selling them that long) and with my car being a 'vert it has faded, BAD. I'd say it lasted a year or so before I noticed it starting to discolor. (I've got the black if that makes a difference.) Either way, What kind of life would we be looking at before fading?

Hi,

well, to be honest faux-alcantara does faint especially in convertibles. If durability is very important I would always recommend leather over faux-alcantara.

Hope that helps

Striker, I have my OEM Hurst **** and boot if you would like it. I can sell both to you. The bracket under the shift boot is cracked though. The color is a little lighter than my ebony leather interior, factory color though.
