I see this all the time, and to the best of my knowledge, it is permanant. I believe it is called lime rot. It is when heat, excesive sunlight, and water vapor hue plastic. I have seen it on Z's, but never an SS. I guess some people don't think there car is important, and they just leave it outside. Do you park in the shade t work, or at yourhouse, one side of the car might get more sunthen the other, just a thought.

I have the same issue. It is permanet unless you really want to get down and dirty.

I have a pretty strong plastic polish, I'm going to try that however .... if it doesn't work I am going to use 2000 grit sandpaper then the polish to remove the hazing.

You wouldn't beleive how much cleaner the front end of a car looks with clean headlights, maybe I pay attention to the small stuff though.

Yes but it is very very mild. I use it once in a while on my rear lights to get rid of the swirl marks in the plastic. No way it would remove the crud on headlights.

Even the polish I have, comes in half ounce bottles for 10.00. You are supposed to apply it with a drill (cordless) and a foam pad that it comes with. You can use the Mothers but your going to be there all week.

I didn't know that the problem could be avoided/corrected and I purchased my car used.

I am sure once it's done all you need to do is wash your headlights along with the car and clean them with Plexus or something which is a cleaner for plastic as windex is for glass.

Maybe twice a year spend 2 minutes with a polish on each year but it'll be really easy to keep them looking good. I just need to be really bored to do this.
