Default NBM owners...
I have a 2000 SS NBM... and you can see the sharp deep blue in the corners of the car when the sun nails it... but how come it looks mostly that dark purple color most of the time.. then I see some of you uguys with more blue ones.... were there more bluer ones then others?

I've noticed it too. When I painted the v6 NBM, I noticed there were two NBM colors, one with a pearl one just regular metallic.

oh I can easily see the blue metallic flakes when I polish it up and its clean... but when it starts to get somewhat dusk I swear the car looks purple... lol

Very fine red flakes in the paint cause the purple to show when certain light hits. Take a flashlight and hold it close to the paint and it will be purple as hell.

This is the second NBM car i've owned and it seems like the more wax you out on it the more blue it gets.

Everyone calls mine a purple Firebird as well. It does look purple-ish at night and low light, but when the sun hits it i can tell it is blue

It def looks purple at night... but in bright sunlight its a gorgeous color!
