When Doing The !Wire Mod!.....
Also where can you get industrial strength velcro from?
When velcroing the wires, should i jsut wrap them in a bigger wire loom with electrical tape, or forget the loom and just use the electrical tape only? BTW the car is not a DD so obviosuly it will NOT see rain..
Thanks,
jsut trying to get all prepped befroe doing this in the next couple weeks
I took some saran wrap and wrapped the harness (just in case of moisture)then electrical taped the length. As for as velcro, It was snug under the car already and once you put the inner wheel well back in place it holds what little slack may be there tight against the car.
What size grommets did you use? Also what size hole saw did you use also?

I think i will get the good electriacal tape and seal it shut..
I could not find anyone with a gromet big enough to work. Mines been done well over a year with no problems. You cann't even tell it is a hose, looks like a gromet just turn it to where the seam is out of site, not that it shows much anyway.

I saw the grommets today that are used for a computer desk. All they had was 1" or 2" i picked up the 2" one... I could not find the 1 1/2" one..
The black line is a view of the flat bar from a side view. The red block represents the battery and the green bolt is where it is bolted through the flatbar into the stock battery tie down hole. The small jog out opposite end of where the green bolt is catches the stock platform where the stock battery use to catch. I then took a pc of felt type material that was self stick and mounted it across the underside of the flat bar so that the bar does not actually make hard metal contact with the plastic battery. Hope this helps.
