Clean them up with some B-12 and a good polish.

Eagle One Never-Dull gets mine nice and shiny whenever they're looking a little sooty. I actually polish them up every few days. Or, atleast once a week with it. Works great.

i had a similar problem after our winter here. i JUST bought some super fine steel wool and some turtle wax chrome polish and rust remover. worked wonders!!! would have been better but i kinda hurried through it because i had a lot of other stuff to do to my car that day to but it really works well and quickly!!

simple green works good on getting grime/oil off of things, but it would be a good idea to polish it afterwards if its in rough shape.

First off they are not "chromed" to start with, they are polished stainless.

As stated above some good metal polish should clean them fine. If you need a little more to get them clean use some ultra fine steel wool then repolish them to get the fine scratches out.

Mine get that way "running rich" so I keep up on them often with mothers and cheese cloth.

I use the eagle one 'never dull'. That stuff works great on everything I use it on.

Here's kind of a before and after of Never-Dull. I was cleaning up the car yesterday, so I figured I'd take some pics of it. The left side looked just like the right side before I used the Never-Dull on it.

I would try spray on rim cleaner first then use rim polish.
