Default Photos - Afterthought's Auto Dash Plaque

Thanks Deanne for the nice dash plaque, it looks great! When I removed the factory 35th Camaro plate, I noticed there were two holes for switches under there. So, I moved the ASR one to the far right hole and centered the dash plaque. Looks more balanced now IMHO. Anyone with a Camaro can easily do the same thing in 5 minutes.

That looks cool!
I did the "Switch Swtich" mod myself a few months ago.... the dash plate looks so much better in the middle!

...get it? "switch switch"? pretty lame huh. lol.

Oh no!! Tony...I know how nice and all it is to share ideas, but I did the same thing with my switches a while back when I recieved my plaque. I thought it was original, but now that youve posted the idea, Im sure that everyone is going to do it and its not going to be so original for me anymore! I think that you should edit your post and remove the idea. I dont want too many people doing this and my idea (and Im sure lots of other people too) just be totally ruined. Just kidding bro, I thought it was original when I first did it, but when I thought about it for a a few minutes, I said to myself, "nah...probably everyone and their mom has done this by now!" What I thought was going to be original and unique has totally vanished! <-- Thats my idea you see there and the gremlin shooting, thats Tony!

How long until those power numbers are things of the past?

LOL, they are already a thing of the past. I'm at 337 rwhp with just an MTI lid. Thats approximately 382 crank hp now (12% drivetrain loss)

I just put the factory numbers up there for fun

Doesn't MTI need to experiment with some more new stuff? Not even a cam change in the near future?

Does that plaque just mount with double sided tape or is it something like the stock plaque?

double-sided tape. The plaque is actually made of plastic but has some sort of aluminum looking laminate on the front which is scribed with the text. The 35th logo is just a vinyl decal.

Hey, since the logo is just a vinyl decal, could he make one with the CE bird logo on for the CETA?

I noticed that too, but thought that it surely must be coincidence. Of course, setting the temp right at neutral does seem a bit strange.

It is an awesome product! I liked my Plaque so much I bought my father one for his Z06. Kinda aggrevated though because since he modded it he wants one with custom HP numbers.

LOL! You got me. I alighn all of my ***** and stuff on any car that is being "shown". I also align all of the A/C vents the same direction, etc... its the small details that count, and guys like you notice those details. So do judges

Firebird owners don't have a place on the dash for the plaque, but Afterthoughts makes one for your console. Check out their site.

Haha, yep, I did the same thing except I moved the location before I did my dash plaque and I got my plaque from someone else.
