Can the nipples be sanded off the headlights?

Default Can the nipples be sanded off the headlights?
Just wondering if they can be cut off, sanded, and polished to make the whle lense smooth? I don't know if I will go through the lens if they are removed. Thanks for any help!

yea they could be but i beleive they are used in adjusting your headlights..

Proper aiming. If you look at just about any headlight, even going all the way back to the big round bulbs they had the three "nipples"

There is a tool that mounts/aligns to those *****.
