I dont think it would look right without the opening. I guess you can get a grill or something to put over the front

Like this?

When I get caught in the rain it's only a small amount that actually gets in the engine
bay compartment. Most of it just evaporates anyways.

i had a friend that has LT! style SS hood on 3rd gen and his carb sat right behind it so we got a piece of foam and made a plug that he could slide in from under the hood and you couldnt see it from the outside.

Damn man, nicest red ls1 EVER! Awesome! I made a quick edit to your car in photoshop. Man, if you buy black front markers and paint the centers of those rims black, I'll die!! OMG! so sweet.

Well, if you want to keep your Factory Brakes then go with the Bogarts.
Because you'll have to replace your entire Brake System to run the "Street Lites" by
Billet Specialties.
Just think,... I just sold a full set of Bogart "Bolted R/Ts" with 275/50/15 M/T-DR's and 26" M/T Front Runners.
Rims/Tires/Spacers/Center Caps/ & Lugnuts.

I've looked into that particular Paint Scheme before.... Not what I'm looking for.
However, I plan to Ghost in a "Grim Reaper" Paint Scheme in the Near Future

Again... Thanks for the Props on the SS
For more pics... here's a link to my Photobucket site

The Bogarts were nice, BUT you Can't run them on the Street much at all.
I had the Bolted R/T's which were Bad A$$, but the ONLY thing I didn't like
was the fact that I had to Swap over to my Street wheels to enjoy the car
on Road Trips. I much rather the Look with Fats & Skinnies so I swapped over
to the Billet Specialties "Street Lites" which have a normal Street Duty Rating

I enjoy the Hell out of them.
BUT,... I also had to Swap my Brakes over to Strange Race Brakes to get
them to fit do to my Offset & Back Spacing
