Default Post Claybar/3 Step Meguires

Just got finished wash, dry, clay, wash dry, paint cleaner-wax, polish, Meguires 26 wax. Don't want to have to do that again anytime soon. I was planning on getting a new paintjob soon, but I think I can put it off for a while now. Night and day difference, pictures don't do justice for how bad it was and how good it is now.

Still to come door jamb cleaning, engine bay cleaning, and chrome polish on glass since clay bar didn't work.

Also got a video with the torque v3 cam with cutout closed & stock axleback exhaust/open. Sound just dosen't compare to in person though.

Before pics are after washing, but before claying etc.

50-60, I already had the carwash in the pic and the microfiber towels(not the absorber). Just make sure to give yourself 8 hours time and you WILL be tired later on in the evening.

Thanks for the comment

I've used the exact same thing except I use the step three wax that matches the step one and two bottles and if you keep up on it the car looks great with it.
The only way to make the car any better is to use a buffer.

And this is coming from a previous Zanio freak. Don't get me wrong the stuff is great and I still use a bunch of their different stuff but it just isn't worth the huge cost.

Cool yeah its good stuff. For inbetween major details like every other cleaning can I just zaino over top of the #26 wax to maintain the shine?

After some research it looks like I will be useing a Zaino product, Z-CS, or clear coat sealer. Suppose to be a simple wipe on that last for 9 months and works with other manufactures products.

Note that you didn't actually use a cleaner/wax, you used a paint cleaner in the 3-step system. It's a subtle difference, but the paint cleaner leaves no protection while the cleaner/wax does (and is not meant to be used prior to polishing).

Looks like you have some hard water spots remaining on the car. You'll need to use a buffer to get those out with some intensive polish.

I love Meguiar's #26 for wax. It should last a couple months, but don't expect anything longer than that. I'd suggest using a booster wax every 2 or 3 washes to keep it up.

I use the Zanio clear coat sealer after every wax to help maintain the shine. Then use the Zanio quick detailer spray before anytime I show the car off or bring it out.

Best part about the clear coat sealer is that you can put it on your polished wheels to keep them looking great.

I had changed my mind and was just going to wax it every month, but now I dunno... $30 for that little bottle. Does the Z-CS effect the shine at all, for better or worse? I just want something to help it look good longer, preferable something available local, but I think I might just end up getting Z-CS.

I think it looks damn good dude. I feel your pain about not getting it to look amazing when previous owners beat it up! You have given me some ideas on what to use though when I attempt a detail soon. Did you figure out what you are going to use to clean under the hood?

After reading through the thread below I was going to use CD-2, but Advanced only had Engine Brite so I'm gonna give that a try once it drops below a 100 here. Although someone said something about it eating away at lids and paint so mayby I'll take it back...

Glad I could help and thanks for the comments

Plain old soap and water also works, unless there is a lot of greasy buildup.

Don't let the $30 cost for CS scare you. You will get at least 30 applications and probably more from that bottle. Zaio and CS would last an average guy 5 years.

I forgot to take the before pics, but here is post engine brite degreser/CD2 detailer. No scrubbing and no covering elec. parts. Runs great still and looks a lot better, by no means a show car.
