Removing Camaro grille with little effort?
Hey I know this question has probably been asked before but I was wondering if there was an easy way to remove the Camaro grille? I don't want to damage the grille and mine seems to be stuborn. If anyone knows how I might be able to get it off without pulling the front end clip then please tell.

Two ways, one is the yank mthod. Just pull hard enough on it ande it will pop off. The other is to remove the front facia. Takes about a half hour to remove, and a couple of the bolts are in hard-to-reach areas.

You don't want to remove the front fascia. It might take half an hour to remove, but it a bitch to get back on so that it is straight. It weight quite a bit and getting it on with one person is almost impossible. The pulling method works well.

Thanks the feedback. I'm a little worried about yanking it off. I'm still afraid I might damage something. Perhaps I will just hold off until I have a weekend free and then invite over some friends to help with getting that front facia off/on. Anyways thanks for the advice, it's much appreciated.

Ya, there is a certain way to pull it off, not sure what it is though. Honestly I would not bother removing the fascia, major PITA. To pull off the grill, I'd imagine that you pull both sides at once, so you don't scratch the paint underneath. I might give it a try this weekend, let you know how it goes.

I don't think it was all that bad removing and replacing the facia. Her are the steps:
1. remove the bolts on the underside that hold the facia to the black plastic airdam. The airdam doesn't need to some off.
2. Look up through the little "doors" in the black airdam and you'll see three nuts up there facing down. Remove those three.
3. The tricky bolt is the one up high. It screws in towards the headlights almost at the top of the facia. You can see it behind the headlights.
4. Remove the black plastic clips on top of the facia and the bottom (8 total I think).
5. Slowly pull the facia off, working it around the black foam underneith.
6. Before it's all the way off, remove the turn signal bulbs.
Installation is pretty easy also. As far as ligning it up, there are two tabs on the fenders for alignment. Just slide the facia partly on the black foam, reinstall the turn signals, then slide the facia the rest of the way over the foam. The reinstall the screws.
I should have taken pictures of all of this I guess. I've had mine off twice now. When I put on my Stull grille, I didn't want to just use the screws to hold it on, I used nuts and bolts along with thread lock. That sucker is never coming off of there.

I yanked mine off pretty easily. If you look at those fasteners in that photo above, they just thread into the plastic stems. Pretty easy to pull right thru the nut.

Re: Removing Camaro grille with little effort?
the easiest way to do it is pull from one side, that grill will bend like crazy, so don't be skeered...it will go back to its orig shape...remove the sides first, then take the bottom off, lastly the top, the top 3 clips are the hardest to get, u need to tug like a sunnab!+(#..thats it, there will be some holes left though, i have pics of mine on my website of what it looks like after its off.. www.benss.4t.com

you could leave the car in the sun for a while to heat up the plastic, then yank away. that's pretty much what i did and it yanked off in seconds.
