You need a polish to remove water spots.

Wax is just a protectant.

As mentioned above, pure waxes and sealants are for protection and appearance. You need an abrasive and/or chemical polish to perform tasks like removing water spots, swirls, etc.

Wash
Claybar to remove embedded contaminants and deposits
Polish to remove blemishes
Wax/seal

Take your high-speed rotary buffer and place a sheet of 60 grit underneath the buffer pad and polish away

Next time you buy a new Chevy ( I was told it's only offered once, before you drive it off the lot), cough up the extra $500 for the Maxxgard coat and touch up kit. You'll never look back!

6 years later, I still thinks it's not the F-body that catches the eye in the parking lot, but the glassy finish. The pic in my signature does'nt do it justice.

Or spend a few dollars on a quality sealant and do it yourself.

Are you serious? The $500 is just an extra dealership scam. The shine your talking about is called clear coat.

No.

You will use the spray quick detailer to lube up the paint and then rub the clay bar over where you just sprayed. Its VERY simple. Just dont let the car get too dry or the bar will get stuck on it. Youll learn more by trying it out then just reading about it. Its VERY VERY VERY simple.
