Which drag wheels to get?????
I am thinking of getting Pro Star XP's or Weld Drag Lites. What do you all think I should get for my 2002 Trans Am? I plan on 15's in the front and 16's in the rear. List the widths I should get. Bare in mind, I will drive these on the street too. <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> Thanks. <img src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" /> <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" /> <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

See my website (link in signature) for pictures of the Draglites with Nitto 275/50/15 drag radials and the wheel sizes you will need.
XP series rims are heavier than stock wheels. Strictly for looks. Why do you want 16" rims on the back? The draglites in 15" and 16" require the same amount of caliper grinding. 15" wheels are cheaper, lighter, and have a TON more tire choices than 16" wheels.

I miss my Prostars...will be ordering another set in the near future.
Prostars also come in 16's. I would not at all consider the XP series. Go with the 96 series Prostars or the Drag Lights.

Re: Which drag wheels to get?????
I like my 15x3.5 front and 15x8 rear Weld dralites but if i had to do over again i would get the 15x4 front and 15x8.5 rear convo pros. With the convo pros their is minimal if any grinding from what im told.
My draglites need alot of grinding on the rear and spacers front and back. Even with the grinding in the rear calipers i needed spacers because on long drives with them the calipers would swell up and rub the wheels on the inside. I could prolly grind them more but i don't want to shave them down anymore than they are.

Re: Which drag wheels to get?????
Where can I find the convo pros and how much do they go for in the 15x8.5 size, whats the backspacing on them?
Another question I had, whats the bolt circle that all the rim pages always list... is it 5x4.75 for our cars?

jeg's or summit has them in their catalog, otherwise check their websites. and you are correct on your bolt pattern. 5x4.75"
as for backspacing, for a 15x8 rim, you would need a 5.5" backspacing. don't know of centerline has a 6" BS though for a 15x8.5" rim.

z28kid,The convo pros need little if any grinding to make them fit. I think they look badass. Kinda gives it that old race car look to it but still stand out as a sharp *** wheel.

what spectrum of sizes can you fit on the back of a f-body?
I know the bolt pattern is 5x4.75 but what is the minimum rim diameter, width, and backspacing or offset that you need for a 93-02 camaro? and what is the maximum size?
