where did you guys get the ones with the flat front? All the ones I have seen have the words RKSport engraved in the front, which looks like ****.

I might pick one up if I can get one without the RKSport logo on it.

i like the CF grilles on the camaro's. I wish there was more things we could do to the TA's that would stand out like that.

Old thread...but need help.

I just had my RK Sport grille painted black. What's the best way to install it?

I'm thinking 4 small holes on the outer and inner edges of each side with the gloss black plastic push pin/christmas tree style/ retainers is best.

double sided 3M tape is all that is necessary, no need to drill holes in it. that is, unless you have one that came with holes already, then yes, the christmas tree retainers will do the job.

I didn't use double sided tape, I went ahead and used the clips it came with. After I got it back from paint, I marked where I wanted the holes on the insert, then trial fitted the insert to the bumper and marked on the bumper where I wanted the holes (through the holes on the insert) and then I removed the insert and drilled the holes. I then installed the wire mesh on the grill insert, put it in place, and installed the clips. I only used one clip on each side.

I'm attaching a pic of where my clip is installed. I installed my grill SEVERAL years ago, and yes, there are a lot of rock chips, but this is a close-up shot with flash, so it's no where near as bad as it looks close-up
