That would require more work than just dropping it on like the T-Tops.

Exactly. We thought about a front latch but then it wouldn't be the multi-functional top we want it to be.

6LE shoot me a pm if you want me to talk to glasstek about making these. im a personal friend of tory over there and can probablly get a really nice deal in making these. he gave me a hell of a deal on me 4" cowl hood. they are about 40 minutes away from vfn and 20 minutes away from me so i could easily deliver it over there if you decide to go with them.

Default What can I make for you guys out of 1/4" Black Textured ABS???

UPDATE: SELLING CONSOLE PLATES NOW... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...7#post10240507

I use a whole sheet for the splitters and there is just a bunch of wasted material right now. I want to find ways to utilize it...

SO, I have 1/4" Black ABS textured and a waterjet guy, what can I do for you ?

Already being made (should be able to sell next week) are console plates for switches and gauges... Sorry for the stolen pictures but here's what I am talking about:

MINE WILL BE MUCH THICKER THOUGH... It is 1/4" ABS so it will pretty much be like this:

In the works already are three designs:

1) Black panel for you to epoxy on and use as you see fit...

2) Panel with 2 1/16" hole cut out on left side for a gauge, rest of panel blank for you to use as you see fit (mount switches, etc...)...

3) Panel with TWO 2 1/16" holes cut out so you can mount TWO gauges...

Also thinking about making the single style:

And MAYBE one with a accessory/cig. lighter hole cut out...

Only thing about that is it will be a PITA since different years have different types of plug-ins...

Anyways, I'd be selling just the plastic piece, cut to fit that area, with or without gauge holes cut into it. No engraving or drilling holes for switches...

Would people buy these? $30 shipped is as high as the price would go. Waiting to hear back about how much it will cost me to get waterjettedout. If I can't do it for AT MOST $30 shipped (factoring in waterjet, shipping and paypal, not material since I already have it) I won't bother because people could make their own cheaper...

What else are you interested in?

What about a switch panel for the ash tray? I would be really interested in one for my cut outs/line lock/fan.

I don't think a 1/4 inch thick panel in the ash tray would leave much room for switches without additional work to get the panel lower in the ash tray. I have a piece I custom made for my switches and it's about 1/8 inch thick and the switches are all flat pushbutton switches (Bulgin) wired up to handle my nitrous needs. There isn't a lot of room left for the cover to close even with these in place.

However, I'd like something to fit in the center console for additional switches

Yeah, doubt this would clear the ashtray lid. However, might be a good option to REPLACE the ash tray lid as it is so thick they'd almost sit flush

How about a center vent gauge for 2 gauges in a camaro? Hardtop people like me have almost no options for gauges without a crappy looking pillar pod.

Never thought that far ahead. That's a good idea and it could turn into a really nice piece that wasn't the same as what the rest of us did.

So how much would these things cost? I might be interested in a single or dual guage.

Sigh... Yes, I can. Do I want to get into that, no not really

It is an option for me but it will just make these things cost more than people want to pay. Besides, the generic things that everyone would agree on (CAMARO, TRANS-AM, etc...) are all copy righted.
