Default VFN 5" WS6 Extended Hood 2000 Firebird

Few pictures of Trigger's car, at our shop. The VFN hood just came, so we pulled it out of the crate and set it on for some pictures!

So does it run single digits???? That's the downside to that hood is it screams 1000hp, single digit race car.

If the car backs it up, then badass, but for a street car, not feeling it.

I never quite understand posts like these. For starters, yes on this setup the car should go single digits with no problems.

But the whole i it runs 9s it looks ******* wicked, but if it doesn't then it looks gay. Does how fast it accelerates change the appearance of the hood or something that I am unaware of? Cause Im pretty sure it will hold its same shape weather it runs 9.20s or 10.20s....it either looks good or it doesn't look good, I dont think 1/4 time can change the way it APPEARS.

Oh, and it was needed to clear the carb/intake setup.

The same reason that a Prostock car, stickers and all looks badass with the huuge honking hood snorkle, but to drive it on the street just doesn't make sense. I guess it's a matter of right looks for the right place.

Cars are like woman, there's a time and a place for everything.....
This woman at a club or bar, hot.

At a funeral, job interview, wedding, not so appropriate.

Same thing when it comes to cars. There are some things that look badass on racecars, which don't translate to the street.

I don't know what you're talking about. I'd eye hump that chick at a club, bar, funeral, bar mitzvah, or whatever.

Yeah, she'd get everyone's attention for sure, but it would be somewhat out of place.

Again, it's about perspective and I didn't say I didn't like it, I just think it's appropriate on a badass drag car.

It's kind of like putting a parachute and wheelie bars on a 13 second street car, doesn't quite work.

So if the car can back it up, then it looks great.
