Default Is my trans shot?

Car will only move in reverse and makes like a rubbing type of noise in park and in gear.

I just had a shop replace a cracked fly wheel 4 days ago along with a new starter. When they had the trans out they recommended changing the fluid so I had that done as well.

The car ran fine for 5 days and today I put the pedal about 3/4 of the way down going about 30 mph and when it downshifted it just revved and didn't go anywhere. Then I accelerated lightly and it would move but I manually tried downshifting to second and got nothing and when I put it back in drive it wouldn't go either. Now I only have reverse.

The tow truck driver said it sounded to him like it could be the torque converter.

Any chance it's only my converter? Did the cracked flywheel screw my car up or did the shop possibly do something wrong? It was perfect for 4 days. The fluid level is perfect and the fluid looks good. I'm taking it back to them tomorrow to say what they say.

No the converter would affect both forward and reverse gears you had had and internal failure you either need a rebuild or a trans

Is there any chance the shop screwed it up or is it probably just coincidence that I only had it back 4 days? Could the cracked flywheel have somehow damaged the trans even though it worked perfectly afterward?

The guy did say he added lucas additive to my trans when he changed the fluid. Is that normal? Could it have screwed it up?

i guess if he didnt add enough fluids or something it could have, im unsure if the flexplate could have been the issue?? my pops puts a lucas additive in his 4l60E, and doesnt have any problems, but i wouldnt ever add that in my tranny so idk..
