I have a 4400 stall and 4.10's and I have traction on the street. Well at least when I'm over 20 mph ![Devil](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_devil.gif)
At the track I actually have more traction now then I did with 3.23 gears.
No a budget converter is around $500. A good converter is $700 - $900. I paid $700 for my circle-D converter and it was worth every penny.
I paid $450 for mine but that was the whole bill (parts and labor). Labor cost alone should be around $250-300 I would think.
