I have a 4400 stall and 4.10's and I have traction on the street. Well at least when I'm over 20 mph

At the track I actually have more traction now then I did with 3.23 gears.

i was told by people on this site a good converter was around 500 dollars. i called yank and they want 750 4 it. seems very pricey.
No a budget converter is around $500. A good converter is $700 - $900. I paid $700 for my circle-D converter and it was worth every penny.

I paid $450 for mine but that was the whole bill (parts and labor). Labor cost alone should be around $250-300 I would think.

I would suggest going with 3.73's unless you plan on running a 28" tire.
