Smile Transmission Shopping

I am starting to get into some "serious mods" where i will need to start to get an aftermarket transmission.
I have been doing a little research on the 4L60E, 4L80E, and TH400. It seems like the 4L60E will be right for me because with the 4L80E i will need to "widen" my transmission hull. I looked into the TH400 and really like it because i will never make the power it can take but the final gear is 1:1 and i would like an over drive.
I am still building my car's motor and the mods will be at the end of winter - full bolt-ons, MS4, 100-125 wet pills and a 4400 stall. My car is only on the road 2 - 3 months of the year. I am hoping to get a 11.3 @ full weight cam only, and with the nitrous i do not know the times i will be at but i will have a window switch from 3000 - 6100 @ WOT.
What level of 4L60E will be right for me??? (performabuilt, FLT, RPM, etc.)

Also my rear end i am still deciding between a 9" or 12-bolt, either way they will have 3.73s.

I think if you keep your fwhp at 600 or less one of our level 4 transmissions will work very well for your combination. Here is what one of our level 3 transmissions actually did one day while I was at the track. This car started out as a mild street car that after a motor and some NOS became a mean little street machine. A level 3 is not what I would recommend for this car but it is taking the power! Take a look at this link. https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-363-60ft.html

Feel free to give us a call to discuss your build. Vince

I could never see this car over 600fwhp. (thats the next car) But a level 4 should hold up very well to what i would like to do? I will not be using a trans-brake just a 4400 stall by Yank or Circle D. (still have not chosen)
The car will be at the track about 5 times a year with about 2-4 passes each time at the track and about 750 miles when it's on the road.

FLT will definitely take care of you, they are one of the best. I agree the 4L60 will be perfect for you. No big changes to the car and still keep OD and lock-up. If you have any questions about your future Circle D converter, please ask away! Seriously though, PM or call if you need something.
