Default buy from a sponsor or local?

Its about that time for me to get a built trans in that car since Im have problems with it now. If I go WOT from a 60 puch it goes straight to the revlimiter, was merging with traffic and was at 3500rpm at 70mph let off of the gas as the car bucked like a **** and I herd a loud bang from under the car, 2nd time its done that But I was really looking into the FLT level 3 with a VIG 3600 and have had some people say to spend my money local. I would personally rather spend my money with someone who knows what they are doing with 4L60's (FLT), what are yalls opinions?

Well regardless of where you get it I would certainly get it from a company that specializes in performance 4l60e. Though I wont say that there are not local shops that can do a good job talk to them carefully if you go that route and make sure they understand and will warrant a performance application

I would suggest both, if you call Houston local to you. We can definitely meet your needs for a performance transmission and converter. Give me a call and we can go over the options.

i would definitely go with 1 one of the sponsors.. all our sponsors have made good products. our sponsors know these trannies inside and out. they know what to do to make these trannies hold up. ive read a few horror stories on guys who tried to get a "bullet proof" tranny from a local shop that broke within a week. get it done right the first time.

very true. i value the knowledge of tranny sponsors here on this board and would pay more for that knowledge in the rebuilt unit i bought. its funny mine goes rev limiter from a 60-70 mph punch, which should go to the high side of second. i just dont do that anymore, but when it breaks someone here will be getting my business.
