Yeah I still have the stock rear end 10 bolt with stock 3.23 gears, don’t get gears until you get a 12 bolt or 9” rear, they are way over rated and make your rear weaker in a stock rearend…I am pulling high 1.3s with the stock 3.23s in a cam only car, I recommend getting a flexplate which ever brand u decide I am sure u will be fine, I have a tci, use locktight on all the flexplate bolts and also the 3 converter bolts…when u get a flexplate and if it has a powder coating on it, make sure to grind it off where the bolts bolt to the engine and where the bolts bolt to the converter, what happens is that it eventually wears way and your bolts will back themselves out…it happened to me and it was backing in neutral, it almost sounded like a rod knocking it was so loud, pulled the trans and the 5-6 flexplate bolts were hand loose…all is better now…

I like the ss series over the pt, it is tighter in my opinion and hits just as hard off the line if not harder…

Chris

Good choice going with the converter rather than the cam

All I will say is make sure you get some good drag radials and hold on. Your car is going to be a completeley different animal

It may take time for you to get use to the big stall. You did it right, you went with a big stall instead of a small one. I started off with a small stall and regretted it and had to pay more money to have another converter put in.

Make sure you get the tranny cooler. It is a must with a big stall!!!!!

You should be hitting mid to low 12's....if you can hook

that is probably one of the worst statement to say...first of all he has an 02 which have very thin weak flexplates...there are plently of photos on here that shows them cracked...when i took mine off i couldnt believe how thin it was...are there are plently more cheaper and more cost effective bolt ons over headers...

i mean a ftra will almost give you close to same gain as headers for $160...
