Default 4th Transmission just went out.

Well my trans went out for the 4th time last night.
I was just wondering what happen to it. I was driving and then all of a sudden it just went out. wasn't romping on it or anything. It lost all gears. No reverse, 1, 2, 3, OD, NOTHING! Just curious as to if you guys have any clue of what could of gone wrong. To trans didn't show any signs of slippage or anything before it went either.

But my Performabuilt trans should be here in the next couple weeks or so.
Now i just need a converter and a tune.

That type of failure is usually a converter or an hardpart such as an input shaft or output shaft. Or you broke a rear axle shaft.

I would agree with TP and include the pump as a possibility, When you get your new trans you should check converter spacing ,

I don't think its a hard part, but then again im no transmission guy...lol. When you put the car it park it doesn't move. I had an output shaft break awhile back and whe you put it in park it would roll around like it was in neautral. And it also doesn't make any kind of noises AT ALL when it goes into gear. So I guess maybe it is the converter.

Prior to bolting the converter to the flex plate measure the gap between the converter lugs and flex plate. Make sure the converter is fully seated in the transmission. This gap or pull back should be about 3/16" of an inch.

BlackTA96, for your sake i hope it's not the TQ?
It would be worth getting a good TQ since your going to have your tranny out already and putting in a built tranny from PB.
I hear you on the money thing, but i'd hate to see you lose a nice racing tranny, by a bad TQ
Good luck w/it all!
