I went with another Yank. Edge and Circle D were mentioned a bit, but my Yank's have never let me down, so why change.

Honestly, i have nothing but complaints with TCI. The customer service isn't the best either. You either hit or miss with their converters. Why take that chance? With a Yank, Vig, or Circle D you don't have to worry about missing, they are dead on everytime.

Yank 3500 lock up clutch went bad, are they bad converters? No but all converters can be broken. I think both converters have their markets. If you want a generic throw it in and go converter Edge is a choice. If you have a combination that needs specialized attention you need to go with Yank or the other specialty converter companies.

that's news to me i personally have never had a problem with tci but all i have ever run a tci in has been a power glide but i do send my converters back after the seasons over to get rebuilt just another guarantee that i wont have a problem

Pro Edge here as well. Went with a 3000rpm stall. Yanks are very good too, so I think it comes down to personal preference.. My Edge was $725 so they really aren't any cheaper.
