Default Help get rid of my stall wall plz!

I see people talk about stall wall, well i put a 3200-3500 converter in my 99 Camaro and now I have it. The info given on this problem just says to get rid of it get it tuned....ok tuned with what? What tuner will get rid of this problem for me so i can get back to racing? thanks for the help.

Stall wall is when it wont shift into the next gear it just bounces off the rev limiter do to the stall.

Its just a nickname some use for what he describes after putting in a high stall. Short for He needs a tune for the stall lol

K I do understand I need a tune but what do you mean by tune like a local shop can do or like I have to get a tuner? thats where Im confused.

Opps lol ,
Well Getting it tuned means you will need to take the car to a performance shop that does PCM tuning . Or you could buy something like HP TUNER, or EFILIVE etc and try and do it yourself. Its not something a regular garage can do.

Mine bounced off the rev limiter anything close to 3/4 throttle. Replaced my VSS sensor and it fixed the problem. Shifts clean and crisp, and i have a 3800 Stall.

Look in your local section (Northwest) and ask if there are any tuners in your area? Yes you will have to have a person with a computer that has the correct software installed to program your cars shift points. Or if you think your capable and have or have access to a laptop, buy a tuning program. EfiLive, LS1Edit, etc. I suck at computers and tuning so I take mine to get tuned. But being that your in Idaho, you may not have that option if you live in a very rural area.

Thnks for the help Im new to the Ls1 tech so I like the specific info given. Im in the Boise area and Ive asked around and when I talk about the EFI or HP tuners I get the dear in headlights look so I might have to do the send the PCM out method.

You really shouldn't hit the rev limiter unless you're not in OD.
It will hit the rev limiter with a stock tune with WOT enable settings stock at 94%
It hits it because under WOT it's shifting off the part throttle shift table. At WOT (above 94%) it shifts off the WOT shift RPM OR MPH, whichever keeps it off the rev limiter.
But none of this matters to you really if you plan to have someone else tune it. I wouldn't recommend buying a tuning program unless you're really going to get into tuning.

That's misinformation. Auto cars require both MPH and RPM to be met in order to command a shift. It's not an either or situation.

The easiest way to resolve this for a stalled car is to lower the mph requirement, as larger stalls DO introduce some "slipping" and as such you may not hit the same mph at the previously set shift rpm.

No it's not.
You can add a shift mode PID in HP Tuners and it will tell you which table it shifted off of. And it never shifts off both.
Tell this guy he's wrong.

Both MPH and RPM upshift values have to be met for WOT
upshift. At part throttle it goes off MPH. But the MPH in
stock tune is the same in the part throttle, 100% column
and the WOT table.
