4l60 Broken! Gurus please help!
so i just finished putting a cam in my car this weekend, and it went off without a hitch. no problems. tonight i go to give my friend a ride, and i wasn't even really ripping it. I started in first, pulled to about 6 grand, bumped it to second, and zing. it hits the rev limiter. i stopped on the highway, and i had NO gears. not even reverse. Park does hold.
The transmission was built less than 3 thousand miles ago by a company in Florida by the name of Transmission Physicians. It was rebuilt due to pump failure. They went back in with a Beast sunshell, kevlar clutches, unbreakable pump rings, and other quality parts.
What could be wrong with my tranny?

I would say pump to and when you fix it be sure and check converter spacing we had a guy break three pumps before he checked it and found it was way excessive a year or so ago. Since then he has been good to go

With the converter fully back in the trans you should have about 1/8th inch space between the converter bolt pad and the felx plate bolt pad surface.

Wait...you don't even have park? It's been a few years since I rebuilt a 4L60E so I'm a bit foggy. If the pump is toasted he should still have park right? Maybe check the back end of the trans...in the output shaft area or something? I could be smoking something too.

i said i had no gears, and then i said park does hold. thanks for the input though. i just pulled a line of the cooler, and no fluid movement. so now it's lunch time and tranny pullin time.
